COVID Protocols

As we reopen our kitchen to welcome guests again, we have carefully considered how to provide safe, enjoyable cooking experiences at The Civic Kitchen.
To that end, our staff and guests must be fully vaccinated and masked. Our HVAC system and professional ventilation hoods are in constant operation when staff and guests are present. Our team practices exemplary food hygiene, including cleaning and sanitizing. Staff and guests wash their hands frequently at three hand washing stations. Hand sanitizer is provided (but does not replace the need to wash hands).
We continue to monitor city, state and federal guidance and update our policies as necessary. Please note the following requirements:
Proof of Vaccination: Beginning Friday, August 20th 2021, in compliance with the San Francisco vaccine mandate for indoor food establishments, The Civic Kitchen requires all guests over the age of 12 to provide proof of full vaccination and a picture ID. Acceptable proof of vaccination: original copy of your COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card, a photo of your Vaccination Record Card as a separate document, a digital photo of your COVID-19 QR code with details shown.
Mask Wearing: As of August 3, 2021, in compliance with the San Francisco mandate for indoor food establishments, all guests and staff, regardless of vaccination status, are required to wear a well-fitted mask indoors. Gaiters, bandanas, your favorite lacy dress-up mask, and clear face shields with no mask underneath are not acceptable masks for a cooking environment.
