Brighten your winter months with the sun-drenched flavor of lemons! Chef Deirdre Davis will inspire you with lots of ideas for making the most of your citrus.
Deirdre will demonstrate many sweet and savory ways to use lemons, including how to properly Candy Any Citrus Rind, make Quick Pickled Lemons, and whip up some Lemon Curd. Or how about some Lemon Salt, Sugar, Oil or Syrup for your many cooking and baking exploits?
This fast-paced class will include a wide array of recipes and ideas. You can prepare ahead to assemble, bake or cook along as much as you like, or observe and takes notes for projects to make later on. Deirdre and your class moderator will field questions, and interaction is encouraged. We’ll pack as much information into the class as we can, until we run out of time!

About the teacher

Deirdre Davis

DEIRDRE DAVIS has worked as a culinary instructor and pastry chef for over 25 years in the Bay Area. Originally from the east coast, she moved to California to attend the California Culinary Academy. Deirdre has worked in many restaurants and has taught baking classes for both professional and recreational students. She is a member of the Bread Bakers Guild of America.
Deirdre founded Pinoli Farmhouse Kitchen, where she creates artisanal products influenced by her abundant gardens and the seasons, including preserves, sourdough breads, pies, and other goods. She also works as a chef consultant and product developer. She loves to share her knowledge with others.
